Semacode Corporation is an innovative software company based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Semacode is also used by the company as a trade name for machine-readable ISO/IEC 16022 Data Matrix symbols, which encode internet Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) and other textual data.

Semacode was founded in 2003 by Simon Woodside and since then it has established itself as the leading provider of mobile marketing solution that use 2 dimensional symbology as the driving agent.

We can't reveal our exact product strategy, but we are looking for software developers in the following areas: Web 2.0 (Ruby on Rails, python, AWS/Cloud computing); mobile user interface development (iPhone, Java ME), algorithms development (image recognition).

We are looking for people who can adapt the product vision into reality using the best technology for the purpose. Your code will be core to the success of the company, and you will be able to work with other talented programmers who care about quality.

Location

We provide a flexible work environment at the Accelerator Centre, Waterloo's world-class incubator for start-up companies. You'll be exposed not only to Semacode but also be at the hub of entrepreneurship in the region with 10+ other start-ups in the building. There are frequent technical and business-oriented events held in the Centre.
