the originals

A long time ago (was it last year?) I was looking on the web for proof that camera phones could focus at short range. This I felt was essential to justify the ability to read two-dimensional barcodes. With good close-range focus, the project could go forward. What I found was that many phones had lousy focus, but a few had great focus. Since I'm taking them off the main site, here are the links that I made, which are still valid.
